ALWAYS DRINKING MARCHING BAND

Always drinking Productions is a company of musicians and artists of all sorts (musicians, clowns, sound engineers, arrangers, designers, educators, designers...) and has been playing with enormous success since 1997 in the streets and squares of all Catalonia and Spain. They were celebrating the patron feast of the Barcelonian suburb de Gracia and their aim was to do so by playing music whilst walking and dancing and drinking. Given the immediate success coupled with a certain irresponsible audacity the ADMB began its artistic career with the purpose of providing musical street animation which would be different from the typical “Charangas” and closer to the French Fanfares and to the Northamerican Brass Bands.

La Calle es Nuestra ('The street is ours') is the result of a natural evolution of years of experience of the Always Drinking Marching Band. With a team of 10 musicians and a clown, "La Calle es Nuestra" combines original songs with rare versions of covers, a unique mix of a fantastic and surprising repertoire combined with a wild image, choreographies, comedy, and a great interaction with the audience. This 90 minutes long Rock'n'Roll concert will spread the audience with bright energy.

“La Calle es Nuestra”, (The Street Is Ours), has developed from their first show “Birra, Sudor y Lágrimas”, (Beer, Sweat and Tears). As from 2005, the ADMB becomes professional with the show “The Street Is Ours”, presenting an explosive repertoire, an energetic choreography and a smashing black and yellow mise en scene. As time goes by, the group increases its number of artists and of presentations which earn public acclaim and prizes at international festivals:

The General Public Prize Haizetara 2006
Happy Jazz Lisboa 2006
The Merce a Banda Prize 2007
International Dixie Festival 2007 and 2008
Sibfest 2009, Rumania
Brass Durham International Festival 2010
