FIREBIRDS (H) – Show that makes everything hot!
Their main profile is fire shows, where acrobatics and fire dance are combined with innovative elements and spectacular effects in a unique way. In addition, the repertoire involves classic jester street performances, children’s playhouses and different contemporary juggling and acrobatics acts. The group contributes to the work of some great theatre companies as jugglers, acrobats and cascadeurs. At present, they perform in Romeo and Juliet at the Operett Theatre in Budapest.
Requirements towards the scene these days are beyond a classical circus show. Being aware of this, Firebirds contribute to new circus and circus-theatre pieces and stage some fire theatre performances of their own.
Firebirds strive to constantly improve their skills and creativity. They take part in numerous international juggling conventions and courses as invited tutors. These events are great for exchanging experience and improvement.
They will perform with their two shows in Kremnica: Steam ON! and The Swing Begins.
STEAM ON!
It's a street theater act performed by jugglers and acrobats. The scene plays in the world of steampunk, a fictional age where steam power is still widely used - like the Victorian era in Britain - that incorporates elements of both science fiction and fantasy. The three weird outlaw characters are running away from the law driving their marvelous steam-powered velocipede. The complication starts when their vehicle unexpectedly brakes down. Are they skillful enough to repair it in time? The repairing of the velocipede builds up of different scenes involving juggling, acrobatics and clownery.
THE SWING BEGINS
This piece was created in 2010 for the Gala of the European Juggling Convention by Krisztián Góra, Zsófia Zoletnik and Cecília Nagy. The three performers put the jest of their technical knowledge in this dynamic, spectacular performance of international standard, which was a big success in front of the 4000 vocational public. The show evokes the atmosphere of the beginning of the last century with two pretty ladies and a gentleman, with drifty electroswing music. The performance commences with dynamic acrobatics which is accompanied by fire spectaculars and illusions. The one and only fire cylinder and burning sword are here presented. In the next scene, the ladies pin every sight on the stage with their breathtaking hula hoop choreography. In the finale, Gora plays the special dragon stick, which is his own invention.
The performance is suitable for children aged 5 and older.
