IRENEUSZ KROSNY (Pl) Mime you won´t resist!

One of the best Polish mimes – this is the attribute which is rightfully connected with IRENEUSZ KROSNY. The actor, specializing in a comic pantomime, was born in Polish Tychy. In 1989 he founded the successful Pantomime Scene KUL, from 1992 he has worked in his own Teatr Jednego Mima. But his real career started in 1995/96 season, when he won three major cabaret festivals in Poland. About three years later he received the prize of critics The Critics Choice by U.S. art magazine Chicago Reader in a Best Actor category. In the same year he won the Grand Prize of Cabaret Festival in Gdansk and again in 2008 the Golden Rose at the Festival in Switzerland. In addition to performing all around the world he leads the workshops for drama schools in Krakow and Vilnius. Ireneusz Krosny´s greatest asset is his original and personal style. Simple scene, mime in black shirt and court shoes, without a face painted in white. Punchlined etudes, perfectly refined, but still easy and understandable gestures.
