Will MALÉ(h)RY Theatre (CZ) tell us a secret of Heaven?

Originally a theatre of one actor was established in 1987 when it was founded by the actress and author of performances Daniela Zbytovská with substantial support of theatre director of Husa na provázku theatre Peter Scherhaufer. Within few years young graduates of Brno Conservatory and DAMU Praha – Nikola Zbytovská and Barbora Seidlová joined the theatre. The repertoire thus offers a theatre of one, two or three actresses. The basis for a poetry of MALÉ(h)RY Theatre is not only a love for theatre itself but also the vision of the world. Three actresses are joined by Brno architect and designer Pavel Matoušek and cooperate with Bolek Polívka Theatre where they have their home scene. They perform all around Czech republic and also abroad. The author´s play Heaven? is inspired by talkings and real stories of women. In the story of teacher Maruška, actress Simona and hairdresser Ilča there happens a conflict due to the different vision of the world and attitude to men. More at: www.divadlomalehry.cz
