MARCO CAROLEI (I) actor, mime, clown & his FIAT 500
Actor, comedian, mime artist and clown. He started his career in Berlin back in May 1982. Since than he has been making people laugh all over Europe and a large part of the rest of the world. Like many people of his generation he was influenced by the ”Clown Power” of Jango Edwards and his associates and the incredible movement around the Festival of Fools in Amsterdam. He had about four lessons in mime and he found it very boring, but then he saw Johnny Melville performing and that changed his perspective. He was only 21-year-old and spent 5 years in Berlin going to see every show coming to town. He was influenced by Walter Chiari, Toto, Laurel and Hardy, Louis de Funes, Jacques Tati, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton or Marx Brothers. In 1984 Jango Edwards invited him to perform at his festival in Amsterdam where he had a great success and since then Marco has developed his own personal style. And although he is a mime he likes to speak! During his performances he talks in six different languages.
Two shows in Kremnica gags 2012:
Capocomico on Stage
What happens if you frame the ”capocomico” space in the few square meters of a stage inside an auditorium? The silent character will start to speak and he will use all his natural charme and improbable skills to seduce the audience in all the possible manners... and some of them will even join his play directly on stage. The word ”capocomico” in Italian indicates the leader, author, director of the theater company... In his case i tis mostly a joke since he is doing everything alone!
The Fiat 500 Show
A peculiar taxi driver on board of the very best Italian car of all times: the Fiat 500! In this case the car hass been transformed and it drives with an electric powerful engine in order to enter even in confined and closed spaces without any damage for the audiences health! An ecological contemporary show straight at the renewed Štefánik square!
