World-known MILAN SLÁDEK will perform at Kremnica Gags
From Germany, his second home, a famous mime Milan Sládek will come to Kremnica. Festival visitors can look forward to his solo performance simply called PANTOMÍMA. World-famous mime will recount everything only by gestures and body movements. He consideres pantomime the most clear performing art.
71-year-old emigrant, a native from Púchov, who went to Germany during communism, wins global acclaim. He performed first pantomimes during high school where he studied for wood-carver. After graduation he chose acting. He, also with Eduard Žlábek of Burianovo theater D34 created his first pantomimic group at the university. After 1968 he left Czechoslovakia and in 1974 he opened Theater KEFKA in Kolín nad Rýnom. It was the only theatrical scene of pantomime in Western Europe. Sládek´s name was also behind a world festival of pantomime Gaukler.
After the fall of the Iron Curtain he returned to Slovakia and led Arena Theater for a few years. Later he decided to return to Germany. Last year, on the occasion of his anniversaries, he performed two performances in Slovakia - Nové sólopantomímy and Pantalon und Columbine.
