Struck Goose Prize – the prize for the most awkward work or event of the year

Béla Bugár’s election motto was “The character decides” – We stand in awe looking at what his character has managed to decide to this day.

State wildlife conversation institution for removing bear cubs and, some time later, shooting the bear mother Ingrid in Liptovská Kokava.

For the European Parliament representative, Richard Sulík for his reasoning as to why Slovakia should not be in the first leage of the EU countries. According to Mr. Sulík, being in the same league as France and Germany could hurt us.

For the former prime minister of Slovakia, Vladimír Mečiar for his ability to twist facts with godlike calm and his inability to acknowledge obvious things. After the self-amnesty he ordered was ruled legally null and void, he said the following on June 10th in the programme “Saturday dialogues with Braňo Dobšinský”: “The amnesty was not cancelled, it is still valid. This is a great historical fault.”
