Anthem

The audio symbol of the event is the festival´s anthem. It was created in 2008. The author of lyrics and music is former president of Slovak Humour Academy Milan Markovič. The settings were prepared by Ľubomír Belák and Peter Cicák. The vocal version is used during the ceremonial opening and at the beginning of galaprogram. The orchestral versions are occasionally used as openings before particular productions. All versions are available to download. The notes are added as well.

THE FUN WINS

There in Skalka over Kremnica the salvoes (re)sound
These are not the shots, it´s only people´s laugh.

There, where the ducats were coined for many centuries,
Slovaks are also in humour and smile rich.

And there, where the column stands, that memory of the plague,
now there spreads only the infection of laugh.

There, where it doesn´t matter who is defeated,
it is always fun that wins!
