The alley of famous noses

The Alley of Famous Noses was founded 28th August 2004 at 24th year of festival of humour Kremnica gags in 2004. The author of the original idea is Roman Vykysalý. The idea of a tribute to the memory of great Slovakian humorists and NOSE as a significant symbol was completed by famous Slovak glossarist, humourist and cabaret actor Stano RADIČ, friend and supporter of the festival Kremnica gags. Unfortunately, he left us suddenly, 8 April 2005.

The Alley of Famous Noses is located in the center of Kremnica in Kollárova street just above the Main Square. It consists of a courtyard of Ján Levoslav Bella´s house where there is also a permanent exhibition of the Museum of Kitsch. Festival organizers reveal a face sculpture of one major personality every year of the festival, as a memory of Slovak artist who was passing out joy, hilarity and good humor in his/her life.
