JAROSLAV FILIP (2005)

Composer, singer, director, humorist, dramaturge, actor. A man of mass occurrence. He graduated from the Conservatory in Žilina, later he played in Bratislava University Club "Véčko" with a group of Peter Lipa – Blues Five. He also worked in the Slovkoncert agency. In 1976 he graduated from film and television screenwriting at the Academy of Performing Arts. He worked as an editor in the Slovak Radio between 1977 – 1980 and later as dramaturge of the poetic ensemble of Nová scéna in Bratislava. In the theatre U Rolanda he worked as an actor. Since the late sixties he cooperated with leading Slovak and Czech musicians (Dežo Ursíny, Richard Müller, Hana Hegerová, Iva Bittová, Jiří Stivín, Jaromír Nohavica, Provisorium, etc.). In the nineties, he has been a freelance and later he founded a production agency Filipson and For Media. For many years he musically, theatrically and as the author participated in performances of Milan Lasica and Július Satinský (cabaret Someone’s at the door, albums We were eleven, Racing with the wind, We and Wandering birds). He composed dozens of scenic music pieces for theatre and television productions, formed film music for films and documentaries. As a member of the creative team of Slovak humorists (Š. Skrúcaný, M. Noga, Z. Tlučková, R. Piško and S. Radič) he cooperated on numerous radio and television entertainment programs as author, director and actor. Popular was particularly the common radio talk show with Stano Radič The Pawnshop, but also The night birds, that originated in collaboration with Roman Kittler and later his elder son Jaro. As an actor, he is also present in several Slovak and Czech productions and films.

STANISLAV RADIČ (2005)

Writer, presenter, humorist. He studied sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy of Comenius University in Bratislava. For several years he worked in Research Methodology cabinet of the Slovak Radio. Between 1983 – 1992 he was a member of the Editorial Staff of Entertainment Genres of the Czechoslovak Radio in Bratislava, since 1990 he was its leader. At that time he was elected to the Slovak National Council for VPN, his presence in parliament, however, was short. Since 1993 he worked as a "freelance" artist. As author he cooperated mainly with Jaroslav Filip. Since 1994, they hosted more than six hundred talk shows together (The Pawnshop on the Radio Twist until 2000 and The Storehouse on the Radio Expres later). As a writer and performer he was equally involved in cycles of entertainment shows Humorikon and Apropo plus. Stanislav Radič was the author of aphorisms, humoresques or feuilletons, published in magazines Nedeľná Pravda, Stop, Roháč, Rodina, and Smena. Since 1989, he published in periodicals SME, Domino, Plus 7 dní, Smer, etc. Radio plays, theatrical comedies and dozens of TV scripts for film and humoristic series (Apropo, Telecvoking, Reservé, Coffee chez Filip, Sedem s.r.o.) where he also performed as an actor and presenter complete his work. He co-founded a non-profit organization NEO and the agency Filipson. He joined the revitalization of the festival KREMNICA GAGS in 2003 where he became to be the literary adviser.

Participant of international exhibitions FIDEM throughout Europe and of a number of exhibitions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Author of commemorative coins, designer and author of implementation of 10 crowns coins with the portrait of T. G. Masaryk, of relief of the coat of arms of Czechoslovakia on all coins. Author of the highest state decoration of SR (Order of the White Double Cross). He currently lives and works as a freelance artist in Kremnica.
