KATARÍNA KOLNÍKOVÁ (2007)

She grew up and attended school in her native village. In 1941 she got married and had four children. After 1945, when her husband left, she remained alone with their children. Until retirement she worked as school caretaker and a nanny in kindergarten in Radošina. She devoted her life to children and theatre. After years of classical amateur acting she started in Radošinské Naivné Divadlo in 1971, where she formed and permanently defined her stage appearance and actor’s human philosophy already in the first game Človečina (Humanity) (1971). She has become a long memorable icon of Radošinské Naivné Divadlo and one of the most outstanding actresses not only of Radošinské, but also of the Slovak professional theatre. Her roles of Mother in Jááánošííík, Grandmother in Človečina, Greengrocer in Rozprávka (Fairy tale), Postwoman in Slovenské tango (Slovak tango), Cooky in Pavilón B (Pavilion B) and many more are well-known. She got her role also in the film version of the screenplay Konečná stanica (Terminal station). For the period 2004-2005 she received the award Igric (Slovak Film Critics prize, awarded by the Literary Fund, Slovak Film Union and the Union of Slovak television makers) as Best Actor in a stage play Človečina and was granted a price Kvet Tálie (Flower of Talia), designed for major Slovak theatre actress.
JÁN MELKOVIČ (2007)

Composer, pianist, actor and educator. In 1962 he studied composition and the flute at the Conservatory in Bratislava. Between 1963-69 he was dramaturge of the Main editorial office of entertainment programs of the Czechoslovak Television in Bratislava, in the period from 1969 to 1976, he worked in a free occupation. He cooperated with leading lyricists, directors, orchestras and performers of pop music in the sixties and seventies. He has also worked as a teacher on Popular School of Arts in Holíč and Myjava. In 1982 he started as a musician and actor in Radošinské Naivné Divadlo. He composed music to cabaret performances of Milan Lasica and Július Satinský. He composed music and acted in plays: Nevesta predaná Kubovi (Bride sold to Jimmy) (1984), Pavilón B (Pavilion B) (1984), Ženské oddelenie (Women's section) (1987) and others in Radošinské Naivné Divadlo. In film and television he played supporting characters. He is the author of music in many television plays, musicals, fairy tale series, short and feature films. He cooperated with the Divadlo na Korze (Theatre on Promenade).
