Tongue-in-cheek, one of a kind blues-rock concert with folk elements

The latest original album of Hangman Noose Girlfriend band from Zvolen is a truly elemental, humour-laden bluesy reflection of daily life. The group is strongly different from the typical blues-rock cliché, in your songs, you will also find elements of Slovak folklore. The lyrics of Norbert Červenák turn life itself into performance and are crowned by typical language from Zvolen, as well as, naturally, a sense of humour. This unique band has, until this day, released their original CDs: Coarse flour, 2005, Pull my Moustache, 2007, Eat from the hand, 2010 and Hangman Noose Girlfriend, 2015. Let us have fun!

This year marks the 27th anniversary of the inception and the first concert of the band. The line-up is composed of a team around the founder, leader, a truly original songwriter, guitarist, and singer Norbert Červenák. For more than 25 years, his brother has been his bass counterpart, Peter Krško has had his back for 12 years now, and for 7 years, the violinist Stanislav Fakan has been adding fuel to the musical fire. The band has received the “Bluesman of the Year” award in 2007 and 2011, with Noro Červenák winning on his own in 2002. The band has also won the public vote for the Most popular CD of 2015 for Hangman Noose Girlfriend on the Bluesmusic.sk website, as well as the award for the Most popular band.
